The August board meeting focused on Committee work and discussion on the recent law changes. The board reviewed both the New Compliance Policy and Collections Policy and voted to approve the necessary changes. The new policies will be posted on the Conservatory website and the Westwind Owner Portal. The law took effect August 10th. At our yearly meeting with Westwind Management we will discuss how we will implement these changes and review service expectations in general.
The board will schedule an annual property walk through with our landscape vendor to review conditions and identify any needed work. The scheduled pool deck maintenance and back door paint/repair were discussed. An improvement to our outdoor water fountain is being considered. If you are interested in being involved with our property maintenance, the Operations Committee is the place for you to volunteer.
All committees must evaluate their programs and submit a budget in the month of August. The Social Committee had their yearly planning meeting. The Operations Committee noted that several pool loungers need to be replaced and the Communications Committee entered into an agreement with a website administrator to help the previous all volunteer group with website updating and design.
The board of directors will meet with the Design Review Committee to review processes, covenants, and guidelines to help achieve consistent and timely processing of requests.During the months of August and September both the budget and nominating committees are busy completing their tasks. All this work culminates in producing the annual association budget, social calendar, and slate of candidates for our election and annual meeting November 10th.
