In August 2019 the temporary trailer that had been the home to the Underdrain Operation for two years was quietly moved out of our community. It was the beginning of the end of the active construction project that began in 2013 and was officially completed at the end of September 2019.
After the spring of 2017 when the Conservatory HOA recovered a $7,683,522.17 settlement to make repairs to the underdrain the work began.
First was the design of the repairs by SBSA (Solutions Before Solutions After) our Engineering Firm and owner’s representative for the project. Together with RE (Reconstruction Experts) the repairs began in the fall of 2017.
The members of the HOA Board of Directors met bi-weekly during the whole two years tracking the progress with their focus on the budget at every step. Communicating with homeowners that were adversely affected with work near their homes took priority. Several Town Halls were held during the project for all homeowners to ask questions and be informed.
We are pleased to announce that the project came in under budget. In addition, the association saved over $ 491,070 to fund a reserve account dedicated to a maintenance program that ensures a working system protecting our homes for years to come.
